Our ski courses for children and teenagers in Flachau are designed for kids and teens of different ability levels. Depending on the course, they start from the age of 4. Our Juniors on Skis are for children aged 6 to 12, while teenagers aged 12 to 16 can improve their technique with “Teens on Ski unlimited” and take on new challenges on the slopes.

Freeskiing Kids & Teens Action Days
Teens Piste & Park: 100 % action. 0 % standard.
For everyone who has outgrown the classic ski course: three days of high-intensity guiding across the whole of Snow Space Salzburg all the way to Flachauwinkl.
- Area safari: Making full use of the terrain from Flachau to St. Johann.
- Freestyle & off-piste: Park sessions in Flachauwinkl or freeride runs away from the pistes.
- A real skills upgrade: Dynamic skiing in the terrain instead of rigid curriculum exercises.
- Requirement: Confident parallel skiing at high speed on red/black runs

Course allocation: Sunday and Monday at 9:00 at the Starjet and Spacejet ski school offices. Please be at the meeting point by 8:50.
Pre-season: 2.5-hour ski course for children aged 4 to 12
In the pre-season (until 19 December) there are separate groups for beginners and for intermediate and advanced skiers. The compact morning course suits kids who want to learn and practise at a level that matches their skiing ability.
Juniors on Skis: ski courses for children aged 6 to 12
When booking, you choose the right ability level for your child. Short videos help you judge which level is the right one.
Beginners start in the blue group and learn step by step to move confidently on skis and to manage their first descents with control. For the younger children, breaks with storytime and building snowmen add some variety.
Intermediate and advanced Juniors choose the green, yellow, orange, red or black level, depending on their skiing ability. They can develop their technique and try new challenges. Depending on ability, this might include forest trails, jumps or skiing backwards. Safety always matters more than the next trick.

Flachau offers good conditions for learning: wide, comparatively flat slopes and dedicated practice areas make it easier to get started. The Dinojet and the Hofleitenlift are used for the first metres on the slopes. After that, the easy piste “L” is a good choice, where beginners can develop and consolidate a good skiing rhythm.

Ski course for teenagers: Teens on Ski unlimited
A ski course for teenagers can offer more than classic practice runs. On Teens on Ski unlimited, young skiers from the red and black groups head out. They can already do quite a lot and are keen for new challenges. A requirement is that they can confidently handle black pistes.
Depending on ability, you’ll head onto mogul runs and forest trails, into first tracks in deep snow, or to kicker jumps and sporty slalom training. That way teens can develop their technique, try out new skills and have a great time on the slopes with others their age.

Freeskiing Kids & Teens Action Days
For very good young skiers we also offer our Freeskiing Kids & Teens Action Days. These are three days with plenty of variety.
The programme includes a ski safari around the Snow Space Salzburg area, park sessions in Flachauwinkl or, depending on conditions, freeride runs away from the groomed pistes.
A requirement is confident parallel skiing at higher speed on red and black pistes.
Which level is right for my child?
Not every ten- or fourteen-year-old skis the same. That’s why, when we put groups together, ability counts most, more than age.
When booking online, short videos for each level help you find the right one. If you’re still unsure, we’re happy to advise you personally.
Two locations for Kids & Teens courses in Flachau
Our Kids & Teens courses take place at Starjet 1 and Spacejet 1. Which location suits you better mainly depends on how easily you can get there from your accommodation: Starjet is in the centre of the village, while Spacejet has a large car park and good ski bus connections.

Even in the busiest weeks, we have a maximum of 12 children or teenagers in a group.
Can language requests be taken into account?
Our international team speaks German, English, Dutch, Polish, Slovak and French. Let us know your language preference. We’ll try to take it into account when forming groups, but we can’t always guarantee a particular language.

For teenagers who already ski confidently and want to develop their technique and try new challenges such as mogul runs, forest trails, deep snow or kickers.
