Learn 2 Ski in 3 days – beginners
Beginner course for 3 days; an extension to a 4th day on Wednesday is possible. A technically precise start, from walking on the flat, to side-stepping uphill, to gliding straight and snowplough on very gentle slopes and on to snowplough turns, lays the foundation for quick progress.
Lower intermediate – yellow/orange group
4 hours of lessons every day. Our goal is carefree skiing fun, skiing without fear and confident command of technique on flat and moderately steep pistes. Improving your basic technique will pave the way to more enjoyment of snow sports. If you need more time, you can switch to the beginners during the week.
Upper intermediate – orange/red group
4 hours of lessons every day. From steering turns (stem turn) to parallel turns, from comfort turns to light carving, stylish skiing and “wedeln”, from blue to red pistes and at higher speed. Find new goals and reach them with us!
Experts and pros
Moguls, deep snow, carving technique with short and long radii, race training. With our targeted methodology you’ll reach the limit of your personal ability. For experts and pros we recommend private lessons. Group courses are unfortunately rarely possible, as there are usually too few participants.

This course is designed for returning skiers. 2 days from 13:30 to 15:30. Dates in December, January and March outside the main holiday periods. From 18 years of age, for guests who can already ski and want to improve their skills and confidence. Individual coaching from a private ski instructor.
Best Ager on Ski
For seniors and the young at heart. 3 full days in January or March, outside the main holiday periods. Not a beginner course; parallel skiing on blue and red pistes is required. Safe, relaxed and enjoyable skiing without fear and above all stylish skiing like in the old days are on the programme. A shared lunch strengthens the group dynamic.

Learning to ski as an adult: Learn 2 Ski
Learning to ski is possible as an adult too. What matters is not age, but giving yourself time to build up the basics step by step. That’s exactly what our ski course for adult beginners, Learn 2 Ski, is for.
First, it’s about gaining confidence on skis and developing a feel for the basic movements.
For your first day of the course you need:
- Ski equipment: skis, boots and poles can be booked together with your course if needed
- Lift pass: adults need a lift pass from the very first day of the course.
- and above all a willingness to try something new.
Ski course for advanced adults: improve your ski technique with focus
Do you already ski and want to feel more confident, more in control or technically cleaner? Our ski course for advanced adults is for skiers who want to develop their existing skills in a targeted way.
When booking, you choose the level that matches your skiing ability. The course is about consolidating movement patterns, identifying specific technical weaknesses and developing your ski technique step by step. Technique and video analysis can also help.
For us, safety is more important than the finest technique. The aim is not just to ski more beautifully, but to feel safer on the slopes and to stabilise your technique for the long term.
Ski course for returning skiers: back on the slopes with confidence with Back to Ski
You skied in the past, but haven’t been on the slopes for ten, twenty or more years? Then Back to Ski helps you regain confidence and bring familiar movements back, step by step.
The course is for returning skiers of different abilities. When booking, you choose the right level. That way you can start where you really are today, from a cautious return to targeted technique improvement.

Best Ager on Ski: refresh and refine your ski technique

Even if you’ve been skiing for many years, you can benefit from a targeted technique update. Small changes in posture, turn initiation or weight distribution can make a noticeable difference. That’s why the course isn’t about learning everything from scratch, but about developing existing ability and stabilising your technique.
Why Flachau is a good place for adults to learn to ski
Flachau offers adults good conditions for learning and refreshing their skills: wide, comparatively flat pistes and plenty of space to practise movements in peace. This is especially pleasant for beginners and returning skiers, because you feel less hemmed in and can regain confidence step by step.
Experienced skiers won’t get bored either: more demanding pistes, moguls and, depending on conditions, deep snow offer plenty of variety.

Whether you’re standing on skis for the first time, returning after a long break or want to improve your technique in a targeted way: at Skischule Flachau you’ll find the right course for your current skiing ability and your goals.

Frequently asked questions about ski courses for adults
Am I too old to learn to ski?
No. You can still learn to ski later in adult life. What matters is that you start at your own pace and build up the basics step by step. That’s exactly what our beginner course is designed for.
What if I hold the group up or ski worse than the others?
You don’t need to worry about that. When booking, you choose the ability level that matches your current skiing ability. That way you join a group of a similar level. If you’re unsure about the assessment, the videos provided or our personal advice will help.
Which ski course suits me after a long break?
After ten, twenty or more years away, Back to Ski is the right way to return. If you still ski confidently despite a longer break, the advanced course may also suit you. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to advise you.
Group course or private lessons: which suits me better?
In a group course, you learn together with others at a similar ability level. You can compare movements, benefit from shared exercises and motivate each other.
In private lessons, by contrast, your own skiing style takes centre stage. The ski instructor can work specifically on topics such as posture, turn initiation, weight distribution, speed or choice of line. Technique and video analysis can also be used individually. If you want to work on details, overcome uncertainties or make progress as efficiently as possible, private lessons are the better choice.
Can I extend my ski course?
Yes. An extension is possible. You only pay the difference to the next course day.
What can I realistically learn as an adult beginner?
Our ski course for adult beginners is designed to build up the basics step by step. In our experience, after about two course days many beginners can confidently manage their first easy pistes. After that, it’s about consolidating the basics, building up parallel turns and skiing with increasing confidence.
How much does an adult ski course in Flachau cost?
The exact price depends on the course you choose and the number of course days. You can find current prices and offers directly with each course in our online shop. Ski equipment is not included in the course price, but can be added when booking online. Adults also need a lift pass from the first day of the course.
